I was recently in Asda and I seen these huge, three wick candles for £5 and as always I was drawn to a bargain.

It seems every year for Christmas I get SO MANY beauty products! This year I didn't get too much make-up, but I did get some lovely palettes.

Starting this month, I am going to try and post monthly on what the current make-up products I am using (but to keep it quite short I'll only post the ones that change!) I will hopefully do the same with skincare, let me know in the comments below if that is something you are interested in.

A little behind the times but I finally got round to reading Fault in our Stars. I have been meaning to read it for a long time but I set a deadline as me and my partner recently bought it on Blu Ray, so before we are allowed to watch it I have to read the book! I read the first chapter a few days ago but the rest of the book I finished in one day.

Recently I've had some issues with my skin; in previous posts I've mentioned abandoning face wipes as they made my face really red and quite sore. This is my current skin care routine, but I'm still trying to find the perfect match for my skin. Before we get started, I would say that my skin type is normal to dry, especially around my nose and chin, sometimes creeping onto my forehead.

Hello again, Over Christmas (and January) I didn't post at all, mainly because I have been really busy at work but also because I want my posts to be enjoyable and not the same thing over and over again. It has been just under a month since I got my L'Oreal beauty box to review and I thought I would share with you my final thoughts. First the Elvive Full Restore 5 Shampoo and Conditioner, I have to say I love them both. I have only used them since I got them and they haven't left any residue in my hair or made me feel like I've had to use something else. Normally, my hair doesn't like me to use the same product for a long period of time, normally it gets really dry and brittle. Also, sometimes when you use a shampoo too often you can't smell it on your hair but I have to say EVERYTIME I use it my hair smells AMAZING!!

I currently have five beautiful little guinea pigs, in total I've had seven but two unfortunately passed away. Before I met my partner I used to always be surrounded by animals - dogs, parrots, hamsters, fish, chipmunks... the list goes on.

Recently I went to hobby craft and bought a few little cute things to add lovely homemade touches to my presents.

Well pay day has been and gone, so I have bought a few new products to add to my routine. I've recently got contacts and want my skin to look its best as its going to be a bit more on display. As you might know from one of my previous posts, I am quite liking the Boots Botanics All Bright range. So I bought a few more bits. I bought the All Bright Serum which you apply after cleansing and toning but before your moisturiser morning and night. Serums are very rich so you only need three or four drops on your face avoiding your eyes.  I've found that once it sinks in it makes a skin feel really soft and more hydrated. It is a little oily however because it is so enriched,  you don't need a lot and it soaks in relatively quickly so this doesn't last long.

Recently when using face wipes my skin has become very irritated, red and very sore. as I use face wipes daily to cleanse my skin, I was a bit unsure on what to do. I did some researching and found some cleansing waters that claim to dissolve your make up and cleanse your skin. Well I thought that was perfect. However, the cost of some of these can be very high.

Cooking and baking is something I love to do in my spare time (not that I get a lot of it!) When I do get a spare moment I never normally have a great deal already in the house, but this is one recipe I could never get bored with.

Good morning Bloggers! Just a quick little update about a few of the products I received in my L'Oreal Beauty Box. So far I have only used the shampoo, conditioner and the face cream.

Well life took over a little bit and I really struggled with what to write as a second post. Then inspiration hit in the form of a, slightly tattered, portly package; A L'Oreal Beauty box! On a whim a while ago now I signed up to receive samples. So I was having a good gander of the website to see what else might take my fancy. That's when I seen that they were looking for people to become some sort of beauty panel and review some products. So I signed up on a whim.

This something I tend to make quite often as a bit of a posh tea (dinner), which is especially good when you are having a few people over. For dishes I have made quite often just start doing it by ear, however I have tried my best to keep an eye on quantities, as well as keep a track of all the utensils I have used.
