From the bestselling author Nicholas Sparks who brought you, The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, The Last Song, The Lucky One and more... Two stories become intertwined one night because of a accident, sheer fate brings them all together. A city girl meets a country boy, she is a college student and he is a professional bull rider. After a successful date, the couple see a car off the road and a gentleman inside. Luke, being a strong, kind character helps him out of the car, and take him to hospital. Film Friday - Pitch Perfect 2

Image
The Bardon Bellas are back, Pitches!     If you don't already know, Pitch Perfect follows the Bardon Bellas, one of the accapella groups residing at Bardon university. Accapella is a type of music where there are no backing instruments, all sound comes from vocals. This glee style film, steps over a few more boundaries and brings it up a level!   Following on shortly after the first instalment, this film has a fantastic start that had me laughing so hard! This film also expands more of the story lines, and brings you closer to each character. After their success in the previous film the Bellas are invited to sing in front of the president. During the performance, Fat Amy takes everyone on a trip down under, which knocks the Bellas off their pedestal.   Losing their way, they fight to keep their girl power alive! After, some hilarious, cringe-worthy and heart warming moments, the film concludes in a unexpected way. With the potential to have a third...

Holiday Preperations

Soon me, my partner and basically all their family, (on their dad's side at least!) Will be going to Paphos, Cyprus! Tenerife 2012   Three years a go now, I went on my first ever trip abroad to Tenerife, with my partner and everyone going this time around too! Grandad Ed and Grandma Kath rented a massive villa for everyone, and for a week we stayed in the beautiful villa in the hills! It was a new build and there wasn't really anything to do up where we were, so there was a lot of taxis and one very long walk one day... that was bad!   Anyway, it was amazing! Two nights we all came together, one outside the villa; where we went for a meal and a few drinks, and one night in the villa; with a lot of sangria and chase the ace! Haha! Apart from the end of night and the next day when half of the villa were ill, we all agree it was the best night as a family! Which makes me a little emotional as I had only been with my partner for around 6 months but I was alrea...

Film Review Friday: Big Hero 6

Image
Set in Sanfransoyko, the film stars Hiro, a young boy genius who has already finished school but instead of going to college has decided he wants to fight robots. His older brother Tadashi shows him the college he attends. During which Hiro sees all the amazing experiments they are doing and finally meets Baymax.  Baymax is a friendly robot who's sole purpose is to help injured people. Built by Tadashi as a paramedic of sorts. He responds and activates when someone is hurt. After everything he sees, Hiro decides he wants to attend, he starts coming up with an idea for an upcoming robotics exhibit the college is holding. He comes up with a fantastic idea which catches the attention not only of Mr Callaghan the college principle but Alistair Krei a shady business man. Callaghan warns Hiro about him. Shortly after the exhibit a nasty accident occurs and Tadashi runs in to save the principle. This doesn't end well and sends Hiro into a depression. Baynax comes...

Dear Blog #5

Image
Sorry for the long hiatus! I have been ill as well as dealing with a lot of personal issues that have arose all at once. It has been very stressful and quite hard. However, now I can see a light at the end of the tunnel and I am ready to get back to blogging!

Dear Blog #4

Image
Firstly, hope you had a great Easter! Mmmmm.... sweet popcorn! So last week I finally put my video up, I was and still am quite nervous about it! I don't have the best equipment or experience but I am taking a big leap especially as I have only really just started my blog. I have ironically watched a shed load of youtube videos, trying to find hints and tips for how to get better at all of this!

March Haul Video

Image
So recently I have been thinking about doing a few videos, I have mentioned it in a few posts now and I feel like it is a good step. With just starting out the quality isn't the best and I am definitely not great with editing, but here it is. I am quite happy with it for a first video, just onwards and upwards from here! Anyway, this is my first ever haul video, it is just a small one, enjoy! xo

New Beauty Products - March 2015

Image
Second month and I have a few new products to share with you, sorry it is a bit late!

Sweet Sally Cinnamon - Double Chocolate Smart Cookies

Image
Jar gifts always look quirky and well presented. I especially like the baking jars, some containing cake, cookie, or other sweet treat mixes. Sweet Sally Cinnamon is a local business, in the Durham. They have a range of jar bakes as well as hot chocolate spoons, cinder toffee and hampers. Anyway, I recently used their Double Chocolate Smart Cookies. All you need is your jar of mix, two eggs, and 125g soft butter. Preheat oven to 200c conventional. Combine all the ingredients together using hands or a spoon, I used a spoon then used my hands to form the dough. Pop in fridge for 10 minutes to firm up. After 10 minutes form into small balls, the labels says it makes about 20 cookies. At first I was unsure but they do spread! And there we go! I wouldn't call them a cookie as such, just because they aren't really chewy or gooey but they are a great dunking biscuit, lovely with a cup of tea. Do you have a favourite biscuit? D...

Daily Scrub

Image
Recently I went on the hunt for a daily scrub. I went to my usual go to, Simple but the shop I went into didn't have any stock of their scrub, disappointing! Have you tired this? Have you had a good or bad experience? Let me know in the comments!

My Holiday - Turkey 2013 - Take me back! I really want to apologise for the random-ness of this weeks posts, I normally try to post, Monday, Wednesday and Friday and this week it has been - Tuesday, Thursday and today (Saturday). I know that no one is really that bothered but it is kind of my own schedule and feel bad negating from that.

Soap and Glory - Whipped Clean

Image
I was going to post something different today, however I popped in the shower a little earlier and could resist doing a post on this amazing product!

Sweet Sally Cinnamon Cookies

Image
Recently as a gift, I was given a jar of cookie mix to which I only had to add a few ingredients. Once I read the label I realised it was from a local business from around Newcastle. Sweet Sally Cinnamon , is a company based in Durham who make these jars as a gift idea. The premise being that you only have to add a few ingredients to get perfect home baked treats!

Dear Blog #2

Life has been quite hectic again recently, I am getting a few extra hours at work, we have had someone staying with us this week and I have been really tired. Normally I go to bed quite late, but recently I have been getting so drained I feel myself wanting to sleep at 9! I also feel like I am getting a cold, which I can do without, thanks! I hate being ill, especially when I am busy. Might have to get some cold and flu tablets and see what happens.

My Love Affair with Soap and Glory...

Image
As you have probably seen in previous posts, I absolutely adore Soap and Glory , I can't think of anything I haven't liked. They all smell amazing, do what they say on the tin, and leave your skin feeling soft and smelling great!

Chocolate Treats

Image
Who doesn't love a treat now and then? Well, me like most people really enjoy a good bit of chocolate. I love all chocolate milk, white and especially dark. I find that with milk and white chocolate I can eat a lot of it but for some reason because dark chocolate is so rich I don't have to eat as much and get the same... satisfaction? Do you know what I mean? Basically, I prefer dark chocolate. This is something my partner can't understand as they hate dark chocolate but loves both milk and white.

Dove Purely Pampering Body Oil

Image
I recently bought the Dove Purely Pampering Body Oil - Pistachio Cream and Magnolia . I got it at Costco on a whim, if I am honest, I thought it looked pretty and I really like Dove as a brand.

Dear Blog #1

Today I thought I would go for a little more of a relaxed post, as I have been super busy recently! Life is a little crazy at the moment, with working getting busier, we have a house inspection this week and trying to write some new content... is taking it's toll. Work is normally a bit crazy anyway, but I don't feel like I can relax at the minute with trying to keep the house looking perfect. Once the inspection is out of the way, it will be business as usual!

Toffee Oaty Squares

Image
This is a recipe I have made a few times, and it's from Sue Lawerence's Book of Baking. This is a lovely recipe for treat bars that have an oaty base, toffee centre and a crumble top.

Cosy Candle Company - Asda

Image
I was recently in Asda and I seen these huge, three wick candles for £5 and as always I was drawn to a bargain.

New Make-up Palettes!

Image
It seems every year for Christmas I get SO MANY beauty products! This year I didn't get too much make-up, but I did get some lovely palettes.

Current Makeup products - Feb 2015

Image
Starting this month, I am going to try and post monthly on what the current make-up products I am using (but to keep it quite short I'll only post the ones that change!) I will hopefully do the same with skincare, let me know in the comments below if that is something you are interested in.

Fault in our Stars - Book Review

Image
A little behind the times but I finally got round to reading Fault in our Stars. I have been meaning to read it for a long time but I set a deadline as me and my partner recently bought it on Blu Ray, so before we are allowed to watch it I have to read the book! I read the first chapter a few days ago but the rest of the book I finished in one day.

Beauty Review - Nivea in shower body lotion

Image
For the past few of days I have been using the Nivea in shower body lotion

My Morning Beauty Routine

Image
Recently I've had some issues with my skin; in previous posts I've mentioned abandoning face wipes as they made my face really red and quite sore. This is my current skin care routine, but I'm still trying to find the perfect match for my skin. Before we get started, I would say that my skin type is normal to dry, especially around my nose and chin, sometimes creeping onto my forehead.

Long Break...

Hello again, Over Christmas (and January) I didn't post at all, mainly because I have been really busy at work but also because I want my posts to be enjoyable and not the same thing over and over again. So, over the next few weeks and hopefully, months, I am going to try and post a bigger variety of posts. Sorry again! But I'm back on track :) Ps. Don't forget to follow me on twitter, instagram and of course subscribe  xo

The Final Review: L'Oreal Beauty Box

Image
It has been just under a month since I got my L'Oreal beauty box to review and I thought I would share with you my final thoughts. First the Elvive Full Restore 5 Shampoo and Conditioner, I have to say I love them both. I have only used them since I got them and they haven't left any residue in my hair or made me feel like I've had to use something else. Normally, my hair doesn't like me to use the same product for a long period of time, normally it gets really dry and brittle. Also, sometimes when you use a shampoo too often you can't smell it on your hair but I have to say EVERYTIME I use it my hair smells AMAZING!!

My Little Piggies

Image
I currently have five beautiful little guinea pigs, in total I've had seven but two unfortunately passed away. Before I met my partner I used to always be surrounded by animals - dogs, parrots, hamsters, fish, chipmunks... the list goes on.
