Film Review Friday: Home (2015)

Recently, me and my partner invested in some Cineworld Unlimited passes. Basically you pay around £17 per month and you can go to the cinema to see any 2D film whenever you like. You can upgrade to 3D and get discounts on food and things.

The first film we decided to go see was a children's film called Home, starring Jim Parsons from The Big Bang Theory, and Rihanna.

The film follows Oh, a Boov, who doesn't quite fit in with his own kind. The Boov are great at running away, especially from there arch enemy the Gorg. The Boov have decided it is time to run away and end up taking over earth, moving all the residents to one island. During the settling process, Oh bumps into a human girl; Tip, who has lost her mother in the move. Her and her cat Pig are trying to find her again.

The unlikely pair come together, and become great friends. This adventure is a great family film that shows that no matter how different you are, you are never alone.

With great highs and lots of laughs, but equally it has a few low moments where I shed a few tears. Overall, it is a great film that teaches young ones a few life lessons as well as providing a lot of comedic moments so it is still enjoyable for us adults! Their story is a great one to follow and I really enjoyed it!
