A Crafty Christmas

Recently I went to hobby craft and bought a few little cute things to add lovely homemade touches to my presents.

I bought a set of stamps, there are 12 in the set and they are different sizes. They are very cute, I have a few ideas on what to use them on. For example the reindeer mail stamp, I think I will use on the envelopes for my Christmas cards to add a little Christmas magic!

They had some ink pads to use with the stamps, they have a range of colours but I went for the standard black as well as a three pack of metallics; bronze, gold, and silver. I thought the gold would go nicely with my theme and add a different dimension against the black.

As I seem to every year, I picked up their own brand little cross stitch packs. They were on 3 for 2 (like usual) and I find them really therapeutic and relaxing, and it is a nice added extra in someone's card or you can make it into a card.

Yearly, as well as the cross stitch, I always find myself buying gold or silver gel pens. For some reason it just makes me feel a bit more Christmas-y when writing on the labels. It might be tacky now but it is a much loved tradition as far as I am concerned!

Also a non-Christmas related item; I got a set of big stencils, which is something I have wanted a while but never got round to getting them.

Sellotape have recently bought out their version of a handheld dispenser, which was reduced in hobby craft, so I picked it up as well as a pack of two refills. I do like the Scotch wrist dispenser, however I did feel that you would use a pack of strips quickly, whereas the Sellotape dispenser is a smaller version of a normal dispenser. So you can choose the size of the strips, I am unsure whether is will be easy to use or not, but I'll let you know!

Crafty presents for people, some might think its cheating but they do some really cute sets where you get everything in and instructions. One of my closest friends has recently took up knitting so I bought her a little set to knit her own teddy and a jumper; you get the wool, needles, eyes, needle, thread and instructions. I think this will be a bit of a challenge for her but everything is there for her. I know she will love it!

They have loads of cute crafty Christmas items, from make your own stockings to ornaments, cross stitch to knitting, card making to decoupage. I think they are one of the best store to go to for specialist craft items.

Keep and eye out as I will post again when I add the little touches to my crafty Christmas!

Is there anything you like to make from scratch? Any special touches you like to add to your Christmas presents or cards? Let me now in the comments!
